Sharjah's publishing economy grows beyond books
Audio, translation and rights trading are turning the emirate's cultural infrastructure into commercial infrastructure.

Sharjah built its reputation on books. The next chapter is being written in rights, audio production and Arabic-English translation at industrial scale.
Publishers in the emirate increasingly describe themselves as content companies, licensing across formats and territories rather than printing for a single market.
That shift has created demand for editorial and translation capability of a standard that institutional clients, not only trade publishers, are willing to pay for.
